Daily Life at In Our Garden

Yellow flower with an orange center

Every day at In Our Garden is shaped by play, connection, creativity, routine, and exploration.

From outdoor adventures and messy play to shared meals, quiet moments, storytelling, and rest time,
our days are designed to help children feel safe, supported, confident, and engaged in their learning environment.

Every child is different, so we take the time to support their routines, interests, personalities, and the things that help them feel comfortable and confident throughout the day.

Settling In
Our Garden

Starting early learning can be a big transition for both children and families.

We encourage families to visit the centre a few times before their child starts, helping children become familiar with the environment, teachers, and rhythm of the day at their own pace.

Children are welcome to bring along familiar items or comfort toys from home, and parents are encouraged to spend time settling their child into activities before leaving for the day.

Our team works closely with families throughout the settling process to help children feel safe, supported, and comfortable as they begin their journey at In Our Garden.

Our Meals,
Nappies &
Daily Essentials

Children are asked to bring their own lunchbox, drink bottle, along with any personal items they may need throughout the day.

We recommend :

- Comfortable clothing suitable for play

- Sunhats and weather-appropriate layers

- Simple shoes children can manage independently

The centre also provides nappies, sunscreen, linen for sleep times, and children’s learning documentation throughout the year.

As play and exploration are a big part of daily life at In Our Garden, children should be prepared for messy play, outdoor learning, and hands-on activities.
